MOUNT TYPES

Inside Mount: For an inside mount, a frame depth of at least 2 inches is required. To facilitate installation, the shade width should typically be at least 1/4 inch smaller than the window width. When placing an order, provide the exact WINDOW INSIDE width and height, and we will reduce the order width by 0.25" to ensure the final shade is slightly narrower than the window. If your window frame depth is less than 2 inches, an outside mount is recommended.

Outside Mount: For better coverage, if there is enough space, the shade width should be 3" to 6" larger than the window outside width, and the shade height should be 5" to 10" larger than the window outside height. When placing an order, provide the FINAL SHADE width and height, and we will make no deductions.

The hardware required for both inside and outside mounts is included in the package.

INSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT: 1. Measure the inside frame width at three locations - top, middle, and bottom. Record the smallest of the three measurements and use that as the width when ordering. 2. Measure the height at three locations - left, middle, and right. Record the smallest of the three measurements and use that as the height when ordering.

OUTSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT: 1. Measure the outside frame width, adding 6-10 inches to determine the outside mount width. 2. Measure the outside frame height, adding 5-10 inches to determine the outside mount height.

The recommended overlap allows for appropriate coverage and avoids any light gaps.

Made-to-Order: We custom-make the window shade width and height to ensure a perfect fit for your window. When placing an order, provide your exact window width, height, and any other requirements. Providing accurate measurements will expedite the delivery and ensure the shade fits your window perfectly. If you are unsure about the size or color, we recommend ordering one blind for testing.

Inside Mount: An inside mount requires a frame depth of at least 2 inches. The shade width should be at least 0.25" less than the window inside width, and the shade height should be the same as the window inside height. For example, if your window inside dimensions are 35.5"W by 40"H, you should choose WINDOW SIZE 35"W, width fraction 1/2, and 42"H when placing the order. We will reduce the order width by 0.25", so the final shade will be 35.25"W (fabric will be 34.05"W) by 42"H.

Outside Mount: For better coverage, the shade width should be 3" to 6" larger than the window outside width, and the shade height should be 5" to 10" larger than the window outside height. For example, if your window outside dimensions, including the frame, are 35.5"W by 40"H, the shade should be at least 39"W by 45"H. When placing the order, choose 39"W and 45"H, and the size you order will be the final shade size without any deductions.

Attention: The shade width includes all brackets, which take up 0.6" on each side. The actual fabric width will be about 1.2" smaller. This will allow light to come in from the top and both sides when choosing an inside mount.
